I agree on all accounts. I never had a problem with Deus Ex's combat (bar the lack of real time melee attacks). I never found the stealth especially satisfying, it was the flow between combat and stealth that I found satisfying. I loved the gun play, the fact that I switched between stealth and combat so naturally and WILLINGLY* is a testament to how well they made the stealth and balanced the game, not because of a deficiency in the combat mechanic.

If the game is bad enough to deserve a 1/5, then it should be given a 1/5. I have no clue what the game is like, but reviewers shouldn't hand out extra marks just so that the people who worked on the game don't feel bad about themselves. How else are developers meant to improve?

Fact of the matter is, people talk about it because it's something that interests them, whether it's for good reasons or bad reasons. A website can put an article up but if no one talks about it, comments on it or shares it, then the story will go no where.

6 is a bit generous in my opinion. I'd give it a 1. Complete garbage. That's coming from a Halo fan.
I think hype should be factored into it to some degree, otherwise publishers will continue to make wild and insane claims about their product so it can sell more on day one. They need to be held to account at some point.

Crackdown 1 was awesome. As long as Crackdown 3 is closer to the first one and not the second, then it'll be fun, and it IS being made by the guys who did Crackdown 1 so I'm choosing to have faith.
The Halo MCC wins it hands down for me this year, but I can understand that some people just don't care about Halo.

Unless, as some of the comments have pointed out, Sony are "testing" the price ranges as well, in which case, they shouldn't complain about people complaining, the beta testers need to give their feedback. That's the purpose of the beta.
